Operating since 1928 the Patricia Theatre is a historic landmark in Townsite. Each year in early Spring and Fall it hosts an art series of films to raise fund for the ongoing restoration of the theatre.

The SunCoast Dancers are a dance club with the goal to expand interest in social dancing in Powell River. Advanced dancers meet on Tuesday nights at Community Living Place. Participation in the CLP program is restricted to experienced dancers who teach beginners in weekend workshops offered through Leisure Services.
