Confidential assistance and support to victims and witnesses of a crime or critical incident, whether or not they are involved in the criminal justice system.

Information regarding police and court procedures; updates on investigations, referrals to community and government agencies and local support groups.  All staff are RCMP security cleared.  Calls go directly to us, and you need not go to the police detachment for services.

Funded by the United Way and provincial government, the program provides a very specialized service to men, women and children who experience physical or sexual abuse or assault, or historic childhood abuse.

Services also include emotional support, safety planning, information and referrals to victims and their families, whether or not the client is involved with the justice system. A program manager provides whatever practical assistance and advocacy the individual needs, including transportation and accompaniment to medical and legal appointments, and court.

A non-profit society that operates Grace House. Its purpose is to provide a haven from violence for all women and their children, and to educate the community about issues of violence and abuse in relationships.

Programs include:

Grace Transition House: a free, safe place for women and children who are in danger, either physically or emotionally.

Children Who Witness Abuse Program: individual and group counselling to children from pre-school age to 18 years.

Stopping the Violence Program: counselling and support to women who have experienced violence or abuse.
