Arts Alive in the Park is two days of summer fun at the end of the Blackberry Festival in the third week of August. Established and emerging local artists display their work and present it for sale. There is also dance, music, a poetry slam and workshops for both kids and adults. Booth space for Arts Council members is free

A traditional country fair that includes auctions, live music, entertainment and a farmer’s market.  Entries include arts & crafts, baked goods, eggs, gardening, home canning and  wine.

For the children there are pony rides, a petting zoo and children’s play area. There is an exhibition of livestock, poultry, and honey bees as well as an opportunity for community groups to have information tables and displays.

Festival of Performing Arts

Sponsored by the Powell River Rotary Club, the Festival is based on the fundamental idea of giving all participants the best possible support for their artistic development. The festival provides the opportunity for participants to learn from each other and to gain stage experience in a friendly atmosphere. Every performer who enters in this spirit will learn, and be a “winner” in the true sense of the word.

Local musicians, sightseeing boat tours, seafood booths, shellfish cooking demonstrations, presentations, live shellfish sales, kids’ activities, and special menu items at the restaurants - there are activities for everyone!.  Special rates are offered by Lund’s accommodation providers and bus service to Lund is provided from Powell River for only $2.00 per person.

The Lund Shellfish Festival is a “green” event producing no garbage.

As a sub-committee of TICS, Sandcastle Weekend has run annually for 22 years. This two- day event is usually held in July (but sometimes in August) and includes a lip-sync contest, moonbag launch, parade, bed races, chalk drawing, kids crafts, a beer garden, craft vendors and a softball tournament.
