Opened in 1955, the Powell River Curling Club, a licensed facility, offers fun and exercise for the whole family from October to March with fun spiels held at the Recreation Complex during the summer months.
Founded in 2007, "The Powell River Disability Sport Club provides people with and without disabilities the opportunity to lead a healthy lifestyle through organized sport. Both able-bodied persons and people with a disability are welcome to play on an equal playing field!"
The Powell River Tennis Centre offers year-round tennis for all ages with individual and family memberships available. Open 24 hours, entrance to the facility is with a token for members or a pin for guests. There are classes for kids and adults with qualified instructor.

Pow! Town Roller Derby is Powell River's first Women's Flat Track Roller Derby League. Roller derby is a great sport to get in shape, have fun and meet some great people. Their Mission Statement is "To create an opportunity for women for all walks of life to take part and excel in the sport of roller derby – a fun and addictive sport.
Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi is a registered charity that teaches tai chi, plus other Taoist arts. Our tai chi classes are focused on health improvements. Tai Chi works every part of the body and is also a form of moving meditation. It is adaptable and can be practiced by people of any age and ability, including those with medical conditions or confined to a wheelchair. All our instructors are volunteers.
